Meet our Capacity Building Accelerator Cohort
We're thrilled to introduce the organizations joining Co.act's first Capacity Building Accelerator cohort!
Co.act Detroit

This fall, six Detroit nonprofits are coming together for an 8-week pilot program designed to help nonprofit organizations strengthen their capacity and put learning into action right away.
Building on our Co.Lab Connect program, the Accelerator brings fellows together for facilitated learning, practical implementation, coaching, peer connection, and accountability.
Meet This Cohort's Fellows:
Black Bottom Archives is a living, community archive documenting and preserving the voices, histories, and legacies of Black Detroiters through intergenerational storytelling, ancestral preservation, and community engagement.
Freedom House Detroit supports and empowers individuals and families seeking safety, security, and freedom by providing comprehensive services in a welcoming space.
Friends of Parkside, started in 1991 by Parkside residents for Parkside residents and the surrounding community, connects families with resources, supports health and well-being, and strengthens community connections while centering residents' voices.
Got Grief House creates space to heal, educate, and build community through the common thread of grief, supporting children, families, individuals, and institutions with trauma-informed grief counselors and peer support.
The Konnection removes barriers to student success through mentoring, after-school programs, family support, travel opportunities, and access to essential resources, helping young people show up, engage, and thrive.
The Vision Detroit empowers Detroit's developing creatives by providing accessible resources, opportunities, and a supportive community for creative growth, bridging the gap between artists and the broader community.
