Drop-in Work Day: Wellness & Reflection Day at Co.act Detroit!

About this gathering

Spend a day recharging and reconnecting at Co.act Detroit’s free Wellness & Reflection Day featuring guided breathwork and meditation, chair massages, and a mindfulness journaling experience. Nonprofit professionals can also use the informal drop-in workspace to research grants, tap into fundraising resources, and network with fellow changemakers.

Morning Wellness Experience

Guided Breathwork & Meditation with Charnae Sanders, Senior Program Manager, Co.act Detroit.

9:00–9:45 AM

Begin your day with an intentional breathwork and meditation session led by Charnae. Participants will engage in guided breathing exercises, mindfulness practices, and gentle movement designed to reduce stress, increase focus, and create a sense of calm before the day begins.

Participants are encouraged to bring a yoga mat if available.

Midday Wellness Activation

Worksite Chair Massage

12:00–3:00 PM

Take a break and enjoy a relaxing chair massage provided by Worksite Chair Massage. These brief wellness sessions are designed to relieve tension, improve circulation, and help participants reset during the workday.

Massage appointments will be available on a first-come, first-served basis throughout the afternoon.

Evening Reflection Experience

A Mindfulness Hub Experience by Candace Cox, Founder, Creator & CEO, I Am A Genius

Pause. Reflect. Write: A Guided Journaling Experience

4:30-6:30 PM

Close out the day with an intentional journaling experience designed to create space for reflection, storytelling, and personal growth. Through guided prompts, mindfulness exercises, and optional group sharing, participants will explore ways to reconnect with themselves and gain clarity for what comes next.
